Conditions of participation
General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

2. Registration
Registration usually takes place online via a specific registration form. After you have successfully registered, you will receive a registration confirmation via e-mail. This confirms that the registration is legally binding.

3. Terms of payment
After registration you will receive an invoice which is due 14 days after receiving. Payments can be made by credit card or bank transfer.

4. Provision of services and right of withdrawal
We reserve the right to make changes to the content and timing of the event program and of the speakers. We are authorized to withdraw from the contract if an economic realization of the event is not possible due to an insufficient number of exhibitors, sponsors or participants. This also applies in the case of other reasons, apart from those mentioned under 4.a, which do not lie within the organizer's area of responsibility. In this case we will inform all participants immediately. All payments already made will be refunded immediately. Any further claims of the visitors are excluded, unless the organizer is guilty of intent or gross negligence.

4.a If a federal or state restriction applies to the event period, which makes the implementation of the event impossible, the contract is subject to the resolutory condition that the realization of the event would be prohibited one month before its contractually agreed start due to governmental measures on the occasion of the Corona pandemic.

The decisive factor is the prohibition of holding any events on the above-mentioned cut-off date; it is irrelevant whether the event can be held on the agreed date [example: the condition subsequent occurs if an event planned for 01.10.2020 could not take place on 01.09.2020 due to a general order].

In case of cancellation of the contract due to the occurrence of the above-mentioned condition Silicon Saxony e.V. will receive 15 % of the agreed payment as processing fee.

5. Cancellation and Re-booking
a.    You can cancel your registration free of charge up to 28 days before the start of the event without giving any reason. The cancellation must be made in writing to the organizer. If the cancellation is made up to 7 days before the start of the event, 50% of the participation fee will be charged as a cancellation fee. In case of later cancellation or non-participation, 100% of the participation fee will be due. Alternatively, the nomination of a substitute person is possible at any time free of charge. Any refunds will be made after the event.

b.    For non-attendance despite binding registration at free events, we charge a no-show fee of € 49. This does not apply to virtual events (without care package) and working group events.  Cancellation of your registration is possible up to 24 hours before the start of the event.

6. Picture- and Sound-Recordings
Silicon Saxony e. V. is entitled to have photographs, drawings as well as film and video recordings (in the following image recordings) of participants, speakers and of the event and to use them for advertising Silicon Saxony e. V. and events of Silicon Saxony e. V. or press publications concerning the event you have registered for or similar events of Silicon Saxony e. V., e.g. in print brochures or in the context of the internet presence of Silicon Saxony e. V. This also applies to press or television recordings with the consent of Silicon Saxony e. V.
With the legally binding registration you declare your consent to this use of image recordings of your person.
 
7. Information on data protection
The company, name and e-mail of the participants will be processed for the purpose of customer care and information in compliance with the Federal Data Protection Act.

A participation list will also be created for each event, which may contain the following information: Company name, if applicable, company headquarters (postal code, city, country), name of participants. The participation list will be made available to all participants and, if applicable, to sponsors/exhibitors of the event, who may also wish to use it for postal advertising purposes.

The participant agrees with the legally binding registration that the personal data will be published and passed on by Silicon Saxony e. V. in the mentioned way.

An objection against the publication of the data and the passing on for advertising purposes is possible at any time up to 3 weeks before the beginning of the event. The objection must be made in writing to the organizer.

8. Applicable Law / Place of Jurisdiction
The participation contract including these GTC is subject to German law with the exception of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction for all claims and legal disputes is Dresden if the contractual partner is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law. Otherwise, the statutory provisions shall apply.
